READY TO REDUCE IMPACT

The stability of an ecosystem and the capacity to maintain ecological processes and biodiversity in the future is essential. The longevity of the planet’s climate and forest system now depends directly on the effect that human activities have on them. The concept of environmental sustainability means satisfying our needs today without destroying the chance for future generations to satisfy theirs tomorrow. One of the most important challenges our system has to face, and an integral part of the activities and process involved in our production growth, is reducing environmental impact. The environmental impact of a product or production system is its gravity in terms of the consumption of natural resources and the production of harmful emissions.

Sayerlack carefully assesses the impact of its activities and products in order to organise environmental aspects with a preventive approach focused on using the best available technology and an efficient employment of natural resources. It checks and reduces its own emissions, adopts suitable measures to limit the effects its own activities have on the climate, biodiversity and ecosystem and seeks to minimise waste production and handle it efficiently. Sayerlack needs water and energy for its production system, so we are committed to treating these resources with respect, continuously improving our production system and working to reduce energy consumption

We believe that environmental sustainability means potentially giving back to nature what we take from it. This includes introducing production processes that reduce emissions and depend less and less on non-renewable resources, because the resources available will not last forever. We invest in research, development and innovation to formulate products and processes with an increasingly lower environmental impact by using natural resources in an environmentally friendly way.

This is why Sayerlack has created an integrated program of environmental sustainability called GAIA.

Its production approach seeks to exploit the most advanced technologies for reducing environmental impact, especially by means of its AIR technology that uses raw materials from non-fossil sources. The innovative linchpin of this approach rests mainly on the simultaneous use of specially allocated bio-resources and specific bio-renewable sources with compositions and sizes that are clearly defined and can be traced via the C14 method.

HYDROPLUS is the range of waterborne products developed in the Sayerlack laboratories that contributes significantly to reducing environmental impact by drastically reducing VOC emissions. Our EARTH project develops ready-to-use, high, dry residue products that do not need to be diluted and have a low volatile organic compound content.

With our AQUA project, Sayerlack has also created a wide range of odour-free, low hazard products, containing low monomer content isocyanates or based on alternative isocyanate-free NOT-ISO PU technology. We maintain a constant focus on preventive controls and the health of our production operators and users.

A generation of innovative and eco-sustainable products has also been developed for joinery and furniture with extraordinary levels of performance. Because by continuing to count on our customary levels of performance, we can imagine a different future.

We believe that we can reduce our negative environmental impact by adopting completely eco-compatible processes, reducing the human footprint and the effect our species has on the planet. The future requires a present that can regenerate. This is why we fly high and insist on no impact.
Because in hundreds of years’ time, trees must still be growing around the human race. As wood is our leading partner.
