European legislation is improving and strengthening the rules on fire safety in buildings by referring directly to building materials, which must correspond to a certain fire classification. To meet the stringent regulations, combining fire protection with excellent aesthetic results, Sayerlack has developed a coating system that allows the passage of wooden substrates from class D (typical classification of wood) to class B, required for example in public buildings. The coating systems, applicable by spray, are composed of the 2K basecoat FU0303/00 – which can be used as clear or tinted with Sayerlack TP2009/XX pastes up to a maximum of 3%, to obtain a covering finish – and the 2K clear topcoat FZ10**/00, available in 3 and 25 gloss versions.
