No more need for primer! Easy to use, effective on non-sanded papers. XTL3482/00 is an adhesion promoter to be added in a percentage between 3 – 7% to solvent based polyurethane paints just before the application, in order to improve the adhesion to melamine surfaces. Potentially any solventborne PU can adhere directly on melamine paper using this additive. Due to the variety of paints and composition of melamine paper that are on the market, a preliminary test is highly recommended, to verify the effectiveness and the compatibility of XTL3482/00 in combination with the paint. The use of this additive allows big savings in the process in terms of material and time, because the primer is no more needed. XTL3482/00 may change the rub-out in pigmented products. To limit this effect, add XTL3482/00 to the paint already mixed with the hardener and the thinner, and stir well
